  • David is a Professorial Research Fellow at the University of Queensland, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. He leads the Language Neuroscience Lab and his research seeks to improve outcomes for people with post-stroke aphasia. He co-developed the LIFT program – a comprehensive high dose treatment program for aphasia and his research seeks to improve aphasia management through testing principles of neuroplasticity and predicting language recovery and treatment response using neuroimaging. He is currently an investigator on a number of NHMRC trials investigating various aspects of aphasia rehabilitation. He is Co-Director of the recently funded NHMRC CRE in Aphasia Recovery and Rehabilitation and is leading the establishment of the Queensland Aphasia Rehabilitation Centre.
