  • Dr. Schwamm graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1991 and completed his training in NeuroCritical Care and Vascular Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, and holds the C. Miller Fisher Chair of Vascular Neurology at MGH, where he is Executive Vice Chairman of Neurology, and Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center and the Center for TeleHealth. He oversees Stroke Quality initiatives across the Partners Healthcare System, and through many American Heart Association committees. He is the author of over 400 peer-reviewed articles and his pioneering work in stroke telehealth and quality improvement science has been recognized with numerous awards. His research funding has included NIH, CDC, PCORI and AHRQ among others.
